What if I have problems checking out?

Make sure you have added both a project and class time to your cart. Two items should be in your cart when you check out. If you are still having problems, email info@austincraftlounge.com, and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

Do I need to have craft experience to take a class?

Absolutely not! Whichever project you choose, our experienced teachers will guide you through each stage and answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to try something new.

Can I bring my own food and drink to class?

Yes. We are happy for you to bring your own snacks and drinks. BYOB! We have glasses and bottle openers available for you to use. We do not sell alcohol, but we offer water and tea during our classes. Please plan to drink responsibly and have a designated driver.

Can I sit beside my friends in a class?

We will do our very best to seat friends together. When booking, please specify who you wish to sit with, and we will try to accommodate you. Keep in mind the tables seat 4 to 6 people, so large groups may be split between tables.

Do I need to book a class or can I just walk in? 

Both. There are walk-in hours available on the calendar on a first-come, first-served basis. Class times are also listed on the calendar. We are closed Monday and Tuesday, unless you have booked a private party. Call 512-961-6101 or email us for further information.

What should I wear to a class?

Bear in mind you’ll be around paint and sawdust, so probably not your Sunday best! Please wear something comfortable. We provide aprons for some protection, and our paint is water soluble, so if you catch it in time, water could solve any paint splatter problems.

Can I request a custom design or tweak the design shown on your website?

Yes!  As long as special requests are done BEFORE your class begins, we can usually accommodate.  Once everyone arrive, we want to give all our guests attention and class moves quickly, so it’s difficult to do during a class.   When you are signing up, please see the “NOTES” section to tell us if you want a different date, name, state, city, etc.    For more custom requests, there could be a design charge, but we will discuss that with you before beginning any work.

When I book a class, how will I be contacted?

After you checkout, you will receive an email confirmation of your class time.

Do you host private parties?

Yes. Details are forthcoming, but there will be a variety of private party options such as those for offices, bridal and baby events, and birthdays.

Do you host kids’ parties?

We will host parties for 8th graders and older. (Due to the nature of our business, there are some small tools involved.  We hope to come up with projects for younger kids in the near future!)

Do you host team building events?
